The Joe Strummer Foundation joins Venues Day

We are delighted to announce our newest partner to Venues Day 2015 is The Joe Strummer Foundation

“Grassroots music is the lifeblood of the music industry and the Music Venue Trust do an amazing job of highlighting just how important independent music venues are within this ecosystem. The Joe Strummer Foundation are very proud to be part of Venues Day because every band ever known, including The Clash, cut their teeth in independent music venues. For this reason it is important to stand united and protect independent live music venues and the grassroots music industry for future generations, that is why we are supporting Venues Day.” – The Joe Strummer Foundation

Venues Day is the national gathering of grassroots music venues from across the UK. This year’s event will see over 300 delegates representing more than 150 venues meet to discuss the future of this vital part of the live music scene at Ministry of Sound Club on Tuesday 20 October.
