Mr Scruff Raises Over £3,000 For The Liveline Fund From UK Tour

Mr Scruff’s ‘Miniature Arena Tour’ has raised £3,829 for The Liveline Fund.

In February and March 2025, Mr Scruff played a 14 date UK tour, where tickets included a £1 ticket donation to The Liveline Fund. The tour featured a variety of Grassroots Music Venues, including Alphabet in Brighton, The Crescent in York and Sub Club in Glasgow.

The Liveline Fund was created by Music Venue Trust and Save Our Scene to support Grassroots Music Venues, artists and promoters. The £1 ticket donation was added by the artist to motivate arenas and stadiums to include a £1 ticket levy on their events and illustrate how touring artists can support the grassroots music industry.

Sam Fender and Katy Perry pledged to donate £1 from every ticket sold on their UK tours to the fund, and Coldplay will also be donating 10% of the band’s tour proceeds.

Music Venue Trust would like to thank Mr Scruff for his ongoing support and fundraising efforts.

“The aim of this tour is to encourage all stadium and arenas to include a £1 Liveline contribution per ticket on all music events. The more artists get involved the more it will be accepted that it is the decent thing for all major concert organisers to do.

Although the recent UK Government report recommends that the biggest venues support the smallest, there are a lot of successful acts who are not at stadium level who can do their bit. Many of us who tour regularly and make a living from music see the issues that smaller venues face week in and week out, and can have conversations with managers, agents, solicitors and other people who can influence the overall situation for the better.”
