Music Venue Trust Collaborates With Crack Magazine For ‘Save Our Venues’ Billboard

Crack Magazine has collaborated with Music Venue Trust, unveiling a Save Our Venues billboard in Shoreditch during SXSW London 2025.

The advertisement was designed by Crack Magazine and supported by DIABOLICAL, part of BUILDHOLLYWOOD. Situated on Great Eastern Street in East London, the billboard lists over one hundred Grassroots Music Venues in the Greater London area, including those that have closed in recent years. The venue names are accompanied by the caption ‘This isn’t nostalgia, it’s a warning, save our venues’.

The campaign was created to highlight the large number of grassroots music venues operating in the capital, whilst also paying tribute to those who have closed their doors. The location in Shoreditch was chosen as the area hosted London’s first SXSW event, a music, film and tech festival. Over 20,000 delegates from 77 countries attended the event, bringing thousands of viewers to the campaign.

“The place where your favourite gig happened is at risk. This month, we teamed up with Music Venue Trust to spotlight the Grassroots Music Venues London has lost, and the ones we need to protect.

You might’ve seen the campaign on a billboard in Shoreditch. As fans and as an industry, our voices matter. Support your local venues, artists and promoters by shouting about them. Someone you know hasn’t discovered their favourite spot yet.”
