MVT Venues Meetings for Summer 2025

With MVT’s flagship networking event Venues Day on hiatus in 2025 (returning in March 2026), the charity made a commitment to MVA members to offer opportunities across the country for in-person engagement with their team, and networking with other venues. This summer, one day events in Frome, Sunderland and Leeds offer an opportunity to any venue rep who can get there to learn more about current initiatives, ask questions, share challenges, and be in a room with other people who understand what it is like to run a GMV in 2025. Ten years of Venues Days has shown how valuable this is to any venue operator so MVT is grateful to Ticketmaster, whose financial support has enabled us to offer these free to attend events. The days are fully catered and travel bursaries also available so all anyone needs to invest is their time.

In 2025 MVT has already held:

  • Northern Ireland Venues Meeting, Belfast in March (supported by Belfast City Council)
  • Scottish Venues Meeting, Edinburgh in April
  • Brighton Brunch & Workshops in May
  • Workshops for members at FOCUS Wales, Wrexham in May

 

The summer events are:

Each event runs 11am-5pm with networking drinks after. In addition to providing a great networking opportunity, the meetings include:

  • Stats & storytelling – why data is important and how you can use it to help your venue
  • The Grassroots Levy – an update on where we are
  • Venue Resources & Support – the benefits of MVA membership (there are more than you realise)
  • Rights Management – an update from MVT’s own expert and a chance to raise questions
  • Values & why you should be talking about them – how you can take part in our Ethical Venues project
  • Planning – the latest information about Agent of Change and objecting to a planning application that endangers your venue

 

Booking is open now for these events. Information about further in-person opportunities for MVA members this autumn in London, Cardiff and Manchester will be shared soon.
