Everywhere At Once Raises £100,000 For Four Music And Youth Charities
Nationwide Grassroots Music festival, powered by The National Lottery and delivered by Music Venue Trust alongside Save Our Scene and the Association of Independent Promoters, brought more than 2,000 artists to over 400 venues in a single weekend.
‘Everywhere At Once’, the nationwide Grassroots Music festival, has raised £100,000 for four leading music and youth charities following its inaugural edition in June, with War Child, Help Musicians, Teenage Cancer Trust and Nordoff and Robbins all receiving £25,000.
Powered by The National Lottery, Everywhere At Once was delivered by Music Venue Trust alongside Save Our Scene and the Association of Independent Promoters, bringing the grassroots network together for a shared national moment of live music. The initiative set out to celebrate the vital role of Grassroots Music Venues in the UK’s live music ecosystem, connect audiences with live music in their local communities, and demonstrate the collective strength of the sector. It also aimed to turn that national celebration into tangible support for four charities working with musicians, young people and communities facing significant challenges.
More than 400 grassroots music venues took part, hosting over 1,000 events and bringing more than 2,000 artists to stages in towns and cities across the country. Established acts, emerging talent, independent promoters and local music communities came together for a nationwide celebration of live music, highlighting the importance of independent venues as places where artists develop their careers, audiences discover new music and communities come together.
Becky Hill, Rizzle Kicks and Fatboy Slim were among the established artists who returned to venues with a personal connection to their careers, while thousands of emerging artists created special shows and events of their own. The festival gave audiences the opportunity to discover new music close to home, while shining a spotlight on the independent venues that provide essential stages for artists at every point in their careers.
The festival’s fundraising success means that £100,000 will now support four charities whose work spans music, health and youth welfare. War Child supports children affected by conflict, Help Musicians provides practical and financial support to musicians, Teenage Cancer Trust supports young people with cancer, and Nordoff and Robbins uses music therapy to help people facing life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation.
The £100,000 was raised through public donations, contributions from participating venues, promoters and artists, alongside a major donation from Everywhere At Once ticketing partner Ticketmaster.
